Your financial life is deeply personal, and we treat it that way. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We never sell your data.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to make Budget Aurora work for you:
- Contact info — your name and email address, provided when you create an account.
- Financial info — the budgets, income, debts, assets, net worth, and transactions you choose to enter. Budget Aurora does not connect to your bank; all financial data is entered manually by you.
- Identifiers — an account identifier (user ID) that links your data to your account.
- Diagnostics — crash reports that help us find and fix problems. Crash data is not linked to your identity.
How we use your information
We use your information to deliver and improve the service: to store and display your budgets, income, debts, and net worth, to keep you signed in, and to diagnose crashes so we can keep the app reliable.
We do not use your financial data for advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your information to third parties.
How we share information
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Budget Aurora, and only to the extent needed to operate the app:
- Google Firebase (by Google) — provides authentication, secure cloud database storage for your account data, and crash reporting.
- Sign-in providers — if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, that provider handles your authentication.
Data security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protections. Your information is scoped to your account, access is restricted on a need-to-know basis, and we use established cloud infrastructure to safeguard it.
Your rights and choices
You can access and update your information at any time from within the app. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings and tap Delete Account, or contact us and we'll remove it from our active systems.
Children's privacy
Budget Aurora is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
